Terms of Service
Effective June 8, 2026.
1. Acceptance
By using Activist Assist, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. What the service does
Activist Assist helps you draft letters with AI assistance and gives you tools to deliver them yourself (for example, opening your email client or an official's web form). We do not send messages on your behalf.
3. AI-generated content
Drafts are generated with AI and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or content that doesn't reflect your views. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding whether and how to send any letter. The service does not provide legal, professional, or political advice.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Activist Assist to create or send content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or threatening, or that incites violence. Threatening a public official is a crime. You will comply with all applicable laws when contacting recipients.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the letters you create. You grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service.
6. Your account
You are responsible for activity under your account and for the accuracy of the information you provide.
7. Recipient information & delivery
Officials' contact details and delivery methods are provided “as is” and may be inaccurate or outdated. We do not guarantee delivery or any response.
8. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Joshua Lawrence will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to USD $100.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
